Elizabeth Scott, Later lady Home was born on the 10th October 1770, London, England she died on the 29th june 1837 at Hirsel, Coldstream, Berwickshire.She married Alexander Ramey-Home, the 10th Earl of Home, in November 1798. She was the daughter of Henry, 3rd Duke of Buccleuch and Lady Elizabeth Montagu. She had three chidren : Cospatrick Alexander Douglas-Home, 11th Earl of Home, b. 27 Oct 1799, Dalkeith House, Dalkeith, Midlothian, Scotland . Hon. William Montagu Ramey-Home1 b. 22 Nov 1800, d. 22 Jul 1822 and Hon. Henry Campbell Home1 b. c 1801.

As a result of her marriage, Lady Elizabeth Scott was styled as Countess of Home on 6 November 1798. From 6 November 1798, her married name became Home. From 1 March 1814, her married name became Elizabeth Ramey-Home.
