    Greg Page-Turner and Richard Matthews founded Artware Fine Art in 1997.

    Greg Page-Turner, the Senior Partner, started his career at Christies. He spent nearly 10 years working as a senior picture cataloguer and head of department. He was very active in pioneering innovative new sales for Christies, in particular the Wildlife Sale. Artware Fine Art specializes in Decorative and Historical Portraits, Topographical Pictures and Valuations. Richard Matthews (based in Wiltshire) spent many years as a city merchant. He is now realizing a long held interest in pictures. We are happy to advise you on all aspects of buying and selling pictures.

    We are always building our stock and looking for specific pictures for our clients, we also offer advice on collecting and we are qualified to carry out appraisals and valuations. Artware is proud to be associated with their sister company Commission a Portrait, this agency represents over 150 of the finest portrait artists, sculptors and copyists.

    Restoration

    We work with a number of restorers in London the home counties and in the West Country, we can work with our team of restorers to select the correct specialist to restore your painting or work on paper to suit your expectation and budget. Our restorers ensure that only the highest possible standards are achieved in order to meet the demands of a discerning client.

    Trace a Portrait

    We view 100 - 300 portraits a day from dealers, auctions and private individuals located in the UK, Europe and English Speaking countries. We keep a c omprehensive database of portraits that individuals and organizations have asked us to trace for them. We would be delighted to add specific requests to our database so that we can inform you when a portrait of interest re-surfaces. We will Endeavour to inform you as soon as possible with a photograph, provenance and condition of the portrait.
